Windsor Castle.

This is one from the trip to England back in March. I was completely conflicted as to what camera to take. I wanted to take the Hasselblad, ’cause that’s my weapon of choice, but it gets unforgivably heavy after about an hour of carrying it. I considered taking my digital camera, but the lens that came with it ranges from 3.5 to 5.6 and is, for the most part, too slow. I settled on a Minolta SRT 201, an Olympus Pen EF, and a Holga. All of them were relatively light and honestly, it didn’t seem to me that anyone would give them second looks, so the likelihood they’d be stolen was pretty small.

This image was shot with the Holga. The scan is rough, but the idea I was going for is there. It seems big and foreboding. The castle itself is huge. It’s one of the Royal Family’s official residences. There were gardens and greens and even an entire collection of dolls. As museums go, this was a fun excursion.
