Inspirational.

This is from waaaay back when I was figuring out how light worked and how to move it around.

Despite the fact that I’m on the faculty, we got kicked out of the library (or at least told that we couldn’t shoot photographs there) moments later.

Better Luck Next Time.

I shot these on film I’d never used before: Ilford XP-2. It’s C-41 process black and white film, which means that it’s processed in the same chemistry as regular color film, which is different from ordinary black and white chemistries.

The problem with using new films generally is that I have no idea where the “sweet spot” for the exposure is. I mean, I can judge using the film’s rating, but there’s often more nuance to it than that. The roll I got back is pretty strong evidence.

Shooting Stars.

This guy used to live across the street from me and shortly before he moved I got him to let me shoot a couple of his ink. He’s hell on those wheels.
