Sometimes when you pass a place and all you have is your phone, you snap the picture anyway and hope for the best.

It’s been raining off and on around here for the last few days. It’s a nice break from the sweltering heat, even if it brings humidity.

I spent a few hours in the archives of the local paper few days back. It’s amazing how much history you can glean from stuff like that. I could’ve stayed a lot longer.

A Room With a View.

I visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts while I was waiting for a new acquaintance to finish a meeting he was having there. I hadn’t been to the space since before their recent (major) renovation.

It’s AMAZING.

And all I shot pictures of (with my phone cam) were things that other people didn’t notice. Go figure.

The Middle of Nowhere.

I got together with a group of nerdy friends over the weekend to create a few large scale images. The difference this time is that I wasn’t the principal photographer. My friend, Richard Upshur was. I grabbed a few with my iPhone, and will post a few more as I get around to processing them.

I try to head over to the local Farmers’ Market every Saturday. There’s an array of stuff to be purchased and experienced, ranging from the expected bountiful local produce to all manner of handcrafted items.
